Day 2 of working out with and helping Tony Horton at Travis AFB was as good if not better then Day 1 if you can believe it. Tony was fantastic again as were all the airmen and women we met.
Friday morning workout had a huge turnout we filled two gyms and Tony put us through his UIML workout. That’s Upper-Interval/Cardio-Middle (abs)-Lower. Great workout I’m thinking about leading at one of upcoming Fit Clubs just to mix it all up! Why not, right? Change is always a GOOD THING!
We got a chance to site and chat with the folks in the Health & Wellness Center on base after the workout, these are the dedicated people who are there to help those airmen who are struggling with their fitness or weight. This has become a HUGE issue within the military and the Air Force is taking an active role in combating the problem. Look for a P90X Fit Club to start at Travis AFB real soon (fingers crossed).
We headed over to do some additional visits with some of the other units on base and met with more outstanding folks. At one stop Tony accepted a pushup challenge from one of the young airmen. Never one to back down from a challenge like that especially from a young 22 year old. Challenge Accepted!
Needless to say, this challenge lead to yet another, a pullup challenge…
For 53 years old, Tony can still knock em out.
We headed over to the base theater to finish off the day with Tony giving his Tony Horton 11 Laws of Health & Fitness.
A great Day 2 to equal Day 1. Thanks again to Tony Horton for the invite, Susan Lucy for thinking of me to come down to help out and of course thanks to the men and women of Travis AFB for their incredible hospitality!
